Facebook

Facebook basically closed my account. Formally they claimed they detected a suspicious activity, forced me to provide them with my photo and now for about a week they “work” on my case, while I am denied access to my account completely. The page and the group are still online, even though the page is under severe restrictions almost for a month now, but I cannot access them at all.
So much for a renowned Western freedom of speech – they just cannot handle truth.

Shift of focus

It’s been more than a year since I started this project. I simultaneously launched this site and facebook page and group, but by far most of my focus up to now was on facebook, as it is much easier to acquire the audience there. And I did – right now the page has more than 10K likes and the group is fast approaching 7K members.
Yet facebook has a big problem – it is not structured. If somebody wants to learn about Russia in any kind of systematically organized manner, or just look something up on particular topic – it is just not possible in the format of FB feed.
So, I decided it is time to shift the focus from FB to the site. I am going to fill it with content much faster than I did it before, so it finally becomes a full fledged compact encyclopedia about Russia and can give you a starting point for any inquiry in any Russia related topic.
Wish me lick 🙂
